Instructor - Jennifer Ghormley, Freelance artist and educator

Jennifer sees art making as a tool to engage student’s self-expression, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.  She is a mixed-media printmaker who specializes in screenprint, wood & linocut, installations, and handmade recycled books. 

Jennifer Ghormley is an independent artist who employs a variety of techniques in the translation of ideas through works of art. She received her Masters of Fine Arts, emphasis in Printmaking from the University of Nebraska 2006, and Bachelor of Fine Arts, emphasis in Printmaking from Metro State of Denver, 2002. She has been an Artist in Residence at RedLine, Museum of Outdoor Arts, Children's Museum of Denver, Facebook and is currently an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado at Boulder. She exhibits her personal artwork nationally through invitation and juried shows, teaches for Art Students League, various K-12 school programs, and presents inspiring visiting artist lectures.

Ms. Ghormley enjoys working with students of all ages, cultivating self-expression and connection through art. Her teaching focuses on the excitement of the process of making art, and encourages students to create without fear or judgment. Her workshops emphasize a D-I-Y approach and creative problem solving, to empower students with a spark of an entrepreneurial mindset.
