Juneteenth commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the former Confederate States of America.
A private networking dinner party for black people who would like to be entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry. This is an opportunity for black people who WANT to be in the industry to network and learn from black people who ARE in the industry. This event is specifically focused on black people because many of us remain skeptical, and understandably so. The intention is to create a laid back, informal, safe space for black professionals to see, talk to, and learn from people who look like them and are from the same places.
There will be a short discussion of the social equity provisions of the bill and resources available to apply for a license under the new law. Invited industry guests include: multi-state cultivation and extraction center operator, medical cannabis dispensary/cultivation license awardee, consumer goods market research company focused on the cannabis industry, cannabis app developer, licensing consultants, and more. Tickets include food (infused* and non-infused), drinks, and a gift bag. The event is also BYOBB (bottles and bud).
We produce elevated experiences to educate and celebrate cannabis culture in and around Chicago. Our mission is to provide a laid back, “bud and bougie” atmosphere that appeals to mature professionals who love the leaf and like to have drama free fun.
NOTE: Attendees will be asked to complete a questionnaire about their interest and involvement in the cannabis industry (including traditional, "black market" experience). We want to make sure our event includes relevant resources, current industry professionals, and people who are seriously interested in being a part of the cannabis industry. We recognize the need for privacy and confidentiality of your personal information is our top priority. We assure you that we will never share or sell it to anyone outside of High Society Culture Club or our partners (without your permission). Click here for the questionnaire.
This event accepts refunds until 7 day(s) before the event.
