Each month, we will have community members and leaders join us to to keep us informed on the latest cannabis updates, medical cannabis news, local announcements and much more!

THIS MEETING'S AGENDA:

We will hear from the following community members:

Eddie Campos, No Boundaries Farm

Eddie Campos has a mechanical and business background as he has also owned a mechanical company for 25+ years. His mother, Mary was diagnosed with COPD a few years back and unfortunately has lost her battle and her life in August 2020 of this year, she was the original inspiration behind this family owned, locally grown farm (that he launched with his children) and continues to still be in till this day. Eddie has much knowledge around the industry as he has engineered over 40 grow rooms around the state and his experience went into building our state-of-the-art indoor facility at No Boundaries Farm before it was ultimately lost in the Valley Fire on September 5, 2020.

Terra Lawson-Remer, Candidate for San Diego County Supervisor District 4

Terra Lawson-Remer is a third-generation San Diegan, who served as Senior Advisor in the Obama Administration developing environmental policies to cut pollution from oil drilling and mining.

As an economist with the United Nations and World Bank, she worked around the world to create jobs, restart businesses, and generate economic activity after a crisis.  As an educator and local Community College Advisory Board member, Terra teaches public policy and mentors disadvantaged students.  And as a small businesswoman, Terra understands firsthand the challenges facing the business community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Terra has a lifelong track record of bringing people together to solve problems, and will defend San Diego County from Trump Administration attacks on our civil rights, public health and quality of life.

After graduating from Yale, Terra earned a full scholarship to law and graduate school, receiving her PhD and law degree from NYU.  Terra is also a certified emergency medical responder (EMT), and in her free time she takes kids on backpacking trips to teach teamwork, personal resilience, and respect for nature.

Terra is running for San Diego County Board of Supervisors to improve the quality of life for all San Diegans.

About Americans for Safe Access San Diego

Founded in 2003; The mission of Americans for Safe Access San Diego is to ensure safe and legal access to cannabis (marijuana) for therapeutic uses and research.

Company Overview

Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is the largest national member-based organization of patients, medical professionals, scientists and concerned citizens promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research. ASA works to overcome political and legal barriers by creating policies that improve access to medical cannabis for patients and researchers through legislation, education, litigation, grassroots actions, advocacy and services for patients and the caregivers. ASA has over 30,000 active members with chapters and affiliates in more than 40 states.

Our successful lobbying, media, and legal campaigns led to positive court precedents, new sentencing standards, more compassionate legislative and administrative polices and procedures, as well as new legislation.

ASA protects the rights of cannabis patients. We are working to change federal policy to meet the immediate needs of patients as well as create long-term strategies for safe access and programs that encourage research.
