Cannabis criminalization and its enforcement has had long-term, adverse impacts on many communities, disproportionately for low income and minority community members.
A good Social Equity Program can be a powerful tool for cities who are regulating cannabis to begin to acknowledge and repair the harm caused by the War on Drugs and the disparate enforcement of cannabis prohibition.
The goal of a Social Equity Program is, “to promote equitable ownership and employment opportunities in the cannabis industry in order to decrease disparities in life outcomes for marginalized communities, and to address the disproportionate impacts of the War on Drugs in those communities.”
The Pomona Equity Coalition & Club Kindness are hosting an Equity Forum & Educational Event at The Kind Casa in Pomona, CA.
Come, learn more about commercial Cannabis and it's potential impact on our community. Together, we can make a big difference. Join us!
