YOU'RE INVITED! Join the Tokeland Seniors as we host our June "Summer Solstice" event...
For us in the Northern Hemisphere, this solstice marks the longest day of the year. Ancient man built monuments, such as Stonehenge, to follow the sun’s yearly progress. In the East Bay, we have The Duplex Cone sculpture (1982) by artist Roger Berry, located in the Arrowhead Marsh of Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline park, Oakland, California. During the summer solstice, the sun follows along the edge of the larger cone, and then during the winter solstice, the sun follows along the edge of the smaller cone.
New extended hours 4:20-8pm.
Our POT-LUCK theme is "Summer Delights," Treats to beat the Heat!!
Please contribute generously of your Time, Talent or Treasure (Food, Cannabis, Volunteering, Talent) and funds to create the best experience for us all. EVB, 1740 Telegraph, Oakland, Friday 6/21, 4:20-8pm. 3rd Floor Elevator Access.
