The Strides In Science 2019 Awards Gala is an evening to honor celebrities in the field of cannabis medicine, research, and advocacy. We are honored to present Olivia Newton-John and her husband, Amazon John, with the Global Advocacy Award. Additional honorees include Josh Crossney, who will be receiving the Vanguard Award for excellence in driving forth the medical cannabis message by assembling the top voices in the world through his bi-coastal conferences and global advocacy, and Sue Sisley who will receive the Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Achievements in Medical Cannabis Research.
Join top cannabis influencers, brand executives, high-net-worth investors, venture capitalists, entertainment executives, celebrities, athletes, medical professionals, and research scientists at this black-tie optional gala. Mystic Marley, granddaughter of Bob Marley, and Jimmy Malcolm (first cousin to Bob) will perform in remembrance of Caveri, Julian Marley's daughter who lost her fight with cancer earlier this year. Indulge in the sultry sound of Mystic's voice as she sings with youthful wisdom and a grounded presence. Jimmy, internationally known instrumentalist and founder of the Malcolm Music Foundation, will join Mystic on stage for an eloquent and unforgettable performance.
During cocktail hour guests will enjoy sounds from Swing Ambiance, a silent auction, raffle, and gifting lounge preview. Immediately following, guests will find their seats in the grand ballroom for a formal sit down dinner accompanied by musical entertainment, an awards ceremony, live auction, and a fundraising raffle. After party to immediately follow.
We need your help to find the cure! Through your support, profits from this event will be funneled to our cannabis research on adult and pediatric cancer that we are doing with a renowned cancer researcher at a top university in Southern California. We have now made 4 major discoveries in a year and a half, sent them all to patent, and anticipate that we will submit two publications by year's end. We’ve also recently added two new patients to our trials, bringing our current total to 16.
